    Hi

Im already happy with my Esat-BT line, for phone connectivity. However I think my UPC Broadband is too expensive. Im looking for a good internet connection, around the 3mb mark, (I dont need more). I need something reliable as I often work from home. Im in South Dublin.

Anyone got any good tips on cheap reliable providers?

MY initial google-ing shows me that smart are quite cheap, yet they are charging for line rental, which I already pay with ESat for my phone.

    Thanks!

You'd have to switch your line over to Smart. Even if you didn't, you'd never pay line rental twice.

Why not get UPC Phone alongside your 3Mb Broadband service with them? Ditch the Eircom line altogether. I have no experience with Smart. I've never lived in an area that they service, so I'm not sure if their QoS is better than UPC's. I reckon, though, you could save some scratch by using UPC for the Phone. If you use them for TV, Broadband, and Phone, then the line rental with them is only €5 per month (€11 if you don't have TV and only Broadband with them).
