Special rate of rant and a change in cricumstance

    Hi all,

    I'm back in college now and although I haven't received much word from them, I'm sure the council will be awarding me the full maintenance grant in time.

    The thing is, I'm being assessed on my parent's income level but in three months my mother is being made redundant. This change in circumstance would mean that I could qualify for the special rate maintenance grant. My question is at Christmas can I show them my situation has changed and receive the new rate of grant then?

    Any ideas will be appreciated.
