I've noticed a lot of slow down as well in the last couple of weeks. It could be a number of factors though. Just assuming ntl is not the culprit, it's worth mentioning that the students are back to college so might be downloading lots of work for their courses as well as daily linux distros:D

Also everone seems to have a wireless network these days without much idea how the work and supposedly if you have 2 many close together on simliar channels it can cause problems. I've cysled through the different ones my router broadcasts on and at best i get 6mb dloads and worse barely 2 doing the same tests (heanet donloads as well as speedtest) so there seems to be some truth to it - have a look there (or plug directly into the modem maybe?) and then give ntl a ring if no joy.

I joke, usually on my 10mb connection it averages anywhere between 2-5mb with horrible pings <100ms, at peak times, which is ridiculous.

I will be ringing UPC if they don't sort it out soon!

Off topic but I also can log in to the UPC Cisco router /blank screen @ http://192.168.100.1/ any ideas whats going on?
