    Hi there,

    My boyfriend's parents are 50 years married next week and his father wants to recreate their first date 53 years ago. He is whisking her off to dinner but to make it perfect he wants to find an Austin 7 which is what he drove on their first date all those years ago. They are based in Co. Sligo, and he would need the car by the 7th of October for 1 night. Any ideas/advice???

    You would probably be better with a company like this one. They are in the wrong part of teh country and have the wrong cars but there might be someone more local to you.

    You'd certainly have a better chance with a hire company than a private individual. The story is really sweet but you are still asking for someone to part with thier pride and joy - a car worth thousands of euro - to some random stranger over the Internet!

    Eh, wasn't asking to borrow a car, was expecting to hire/rent.... Was just looking for some pointers, being totally clueless and a little short on time. Thanks for the contact. I'll check it out, cheers!
