    Hi guys,

In the market for a car right now, and hitting the usual sites, carzone, donedeal etc.

There are often ads on buyandsell.ie listed as Dublin 4, but with a Northern Irish number, no photos, and usually no prices.
    example:
    http://www.buyandsell.ie/search/image_preview?pid=1073609

Does this seem a bit dodgy or is there a reasonable explanation for this?

    Thanks

Looks iffy to me..... at least it's a landline though!

Support your local Adverts.ie - lots of cars being advertised there. (link will show most recent ads first). All price ranges, some nice-looking cars <1k and <2k.

If you smell a rat just walk away. It's a buyers market at the moment especially for the type of car you are looking at

Is there no pics of the car on that link or is it just my end? I'd avoid anything with a phone number up north.

Only possible explanation I can come up with is that the owner lives up there but has a car reg'd here? Or perhaps moved up north.

Either way looks fishy. I'd leave it and try adverts.ie

    Looks clean, 3month warranty.

Unfortunatly, I'm automatic only, and my budget is under 2k. Thanks for looking though. :)

I was eyeing up this Corsa, but the 90k on the clock is a bit of a put off.

I was also looking at a couple of Corollas, Cynos', and Starlets.

I test drove a Pajero Junior the other day, and it was an absolute dog. I'm also pretty dead set against getting a Micra, even though there are loads of automatic Micras.

I'll just have to be more patient I guess.

Is it automatic and running well? If so, have you got a pic and guide price?

I found one in the end. Slightly impetiously purchased it today.

Toyota Cynos, 1.3 auto. Bit over my budget but I love it.
