PulseAudio Volume control

    Hi,
I'm using pulse audio in ubuntu 9.04 and everything works fine. Just one annoying thing ... the default volume for my sound card is always at its lowest. I set the volume, but when I reboot, the volume is reset to mute.

    Screenshot attached ...

Anyone have any ideas on how I can permanently set the volume for this device to a default level?

    Thanks

    Try editing /etc/pulse/default/pa

    Comment out this line:

    #load-module module-volume-restore

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I edited /etc/pulse/default.pa and commented out this line :

    load-module module-device-restore

Cheers, that was bugging me for ages!

Just in case that didn't work (it didn't for me), I worked around this problem like so.
