appealing the grant

I have been awarded the grant this year level 2 €345 per annum. the problem is, this is the third year my grant has gone down when I started in first year I had 75% maintainance but my father is not actually earning more money, he got two pay reductions in the past year which have not been taken into consideration as the grant is not calculated on actual take home pay but pay before tax I think I was told (I didn't really understand). So there are two of us in college at the moment, and it is really going to be a struggle as we have €345 each for the year which is not going to stretch very far, and there is financial problems at home at the moment, Is there a way to appeal this?
