If I move abroad to a country with a low income tax, i.e Kenya, Kazakhstan , Dubai. Countries without Irish double taxation treaties. What are my Irish Tax implications.

The plan would be to move out for 2-3 years. I have a house in Ireland that I'd have to rent out to pay pay for the mortgage.

As long as you break Irish tax residence you will have no Irish tax implications of foreign employment income.

As a non-resident you will need to complete a tax return and declare your Irish sourced income (rental profit, bank interest etc).

As a non-resident landlord, unless you appoint someone to act as your agent for Revenue purposes, who will file your tax returns on your behalf, your tenants are obliged to withhold basic rate tax from your rental income.

Does the above apply even if you are an employee of an Irish semi state company?
