was in our local district court the other day and saw this type of case.
    heres how it went.

    a foreign national was pulled by the guards,no insurance,no nct,no tax,got a producer,never produced any documents,hence the summons.

the defendant claimed in court it was not his car,it was his dads car and was now scrapped, first of all he pleaded not guilty and the judge said to him,why are you pleading not guilty when you were caught:confused::confused:

he had no representation but a solicitor "helped"him relay his case to the judge.anyway the court was told he needed his licence for work but was unemployed at the minute.
he was fined 400 for no insurance,100 4 no tax and 100 4 no nct NO ban and still never produced his licence in court.
this was the last case of the day and i feel the judge was in a hurry as to why he never asked to see if this guy even had a licence!! or was even legal in the country(i feel he wasnt as why else didnt he get free legal aid while bieng unemployed?)

but the case is similar to the one i saw but the judgment will probably be different i imagine witha ban for the driver.the driver could well have been insured from his own car insurance company.i take it the guards didnt impound the car?

seriously did you think that would end well? they have YOUR car what were you gonna do when they turned up at your house and identified you as being in the car?

Soliciter is what you need not boards.

    offences could be

    failing to stop
    resisting arrest
driving with no tax / insurance
    assault on a garda

depending on the finer details of the night

No tax insurance or NCT, then you tried to run! Would not like to be in your shoes now. Fine and ban is probably the best you could hope for.

In my opinion you shouldnt be allowed on the road again.

    +1

Usher, if your posts are true, you're a disgrace and I hope the judge is reading boards and laughs at you as they throw the book at you.

You should lose your licence, and you should be fined thousands of Euro. Anything less is a gross injustice.

Given the advice already provided and with the intention of avoiding further posts reflecting how really stupid the OP is, I'm going to lock this thread.
