booked flight with Entropay..flying in morning but all gone wrong!

    was booking a flight for my mum to fly in the morning with ryanair using the Entropay. the booking didnt go throught first time so i thought maybe i hadnt enough on the card. loaded it with more £ sterling and when i went to book again i got this messgae:

    A duplicate booking has been detected.

    Please check your Email, if we are holding a reservation for you, an Email confirmation will be sent to you shortly.

    If you need to make an additional booking for the same flight, with the same Passenger Name using the same credit card details please wait 60 minutes or use an alternative form of payment.

    Do NOT rebook, duplicate reservations are non refundable.

    Click this button to return to the Payment page.


    Is the flight booked cos i havent received any email. their flying in 7 hours!
    Duno what to do now... should i try to book again?

    Follow this link into ryanair manage booking and select option 3 (the only one that oesnt need a reservation number) and you should get the detals there... if there are no details then it must not have gone through

    You have made two bookings same name, flight and date. ie Duplicate booking The system is asking you to cancel one booking otherwise they will not refund yr duplicated booking. Go to 'manage my booking' link to retrive yr booking get the booking ref numbers outherwise known as PNR, and cancel one of them, other wise do nothing and yr mum gets an extra seat on the flight

    oh good thinking!
    its saying that the details used do not match those on record...so im presuming this means it did not go through?
    still no email anyways about the booking

    im doing it correct too amnt i? selecting visa electron and name is entropay user??
    used it last week and worked fine!

    As long as you are sure that the details you put in are correct then I would say that they have no record of it being booked.... do you get an instant statement on entropay to see if the money came out

    but i got no reservation number so i dont think its gone through!was not brought to the reservation confirmed screen with the code and flight details...nor did i get any email with reservation details!
    crap..of all nights to happen!

    entropay is still showing the amount available to spend

    you do not need a reservation number go to manage my booking link and see what you are asked for and input the req info, and if there is a booking there it will come up

    was not able to get into flight booking that way so i presumed the booking hadnt gone through.
    i booked again using a mastercard and i got confirmation and email straight away
    dont know why the entropay would not work as there was enought money on it. transferred the money back to my bank account again just in case...so fingers crossed it didnt book twice! kept all the details anyways to cover my ass in case!
    duno will i be using entropay again now...ended up losing money trying to save a few bob!! not to mention the stress and panic! mum going to UK in 4 hours to see a dying relative...was freaked out she would not get a seat on the flight!

    ^ I dont know if this was because of entropay, it could have been the RA site getting overloaded. This happened to me a few times, where in manage booking my reference number didnt turn up any record of a flight and then an hour later it did.

    I have about six fights to London booked now. Lucky they only cost a penny.

    Hei, it seemed that I came across the exactly same situation like you. No reservation number. No idea what to do. Could you tell me whether you paid for the ' duplicated booking' or not? Should I also try to book again?Looking forward to hear from ya, thanks.

    Hi sorry to hear your in the same situation. are you using entropay also?
    i never did get charged for the duplicate booking...i booked again using a different credit card and took my money off entropay just in case they tried to charge it.

    if your in any way weary I would recommend ringing them. its painful getting through and try to speak to them but its better than shelling out twice for flights.
    I think what happens if there is a problem with the credit card the flights are held for 15mins and then let go so this is why its seeing a duplicate booking.
    I recently booked flights with ryanair again and by mistake put the wrong year in the credit card expiry. i actually put in correct year but scrolled down then and the year box was still selected so it moved the year number down! I got a reservation number after I confirmed but no email so I rang them and the flight was held but not confirmed as the credit card was invalid. only for i rang them to double check we would have gone to airport with no flights. the girl explained they hold flights for 15minutes and then release them! they dont even contact you that there was a problem with payment and flights not confirmed! she wouldnt even do it for me over the phone then I had to go back and rebook and she would not stay on the line while i did so in case i had another problem! she said she had other calls to answer
    im very weary of booking any flights after these incidents!

    thanks for your quick reply. I used two different visa electron card. First one, I do not know the reason why it did not work, maybe because little money in it. So I tried another visa electron. This time, just like you, I forgot to change the first one's expiring date, so it was actually the wrong date. So it was wrong again and received the notification of duplicated booking...

    I also called just now, unfortunately they were too busy, I waited until I got not enough credit in my phone account:( god dam it.

    So I guess it would not charge any of my fees from the account which I put wrong year, right? Maybe I should do the same, to empty the account, in case of the danger. Thanks so much!!!

    It may be a good idea yes to empty the accounts in case but if you have not received any email of confirmation then I expect they havent gone through...dont quote me on that!
    you should also try and capture some screenshots of these messages that appear...just to cover yourself in case anything goes wrong.
    if you can again though I would try and call them and get them to check their systems. I know its painful! I think 8 is the option you need to press to get through to a "human" all other options lead to voice recording from what I remember.

    Hi Fifib,

    Thanks for your help. I just re-booked and I got this feeling that the duplication would not happen, since it already clearly stated during the booking process that I would not be charged. And after the checking of 'managing my flights', I only saw one successful reservation. So maybe there is no need to call any more. You know what, I called from Finland (no need to dail 8) and waited sooo long, and it costs 1.5 euro per min...until I reached a man and the call was cut mid-way. I suppose the calling would equal a single trip after all explanation:)

    Anyway it is fun that we made such similar mistake. Glad to find help!
