Quick memory compatability question

The more modern DDR2 memory products won't work. DDR2 has 240 pins whereas DDR has 184 pins. The contacts wont line up properly. It could ruin both the memory and the slot.

    Compatible with your motherboard: http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=EP-9NPA%2BULTRA

That more expensive 2GB kit is compatible. Do you need to add 2GB though? Unless you have a 64-bit operating system, your computer won't recognise more than 3GB of RAM anyway.
