Scotland no longer Family Friendly!

We're just back from a short trip to Edinburgh. Lovely place to visit everyone is very friendly but unfortunately there are new licencing laws which came into effect on 1st of September.

Most pubs now have signs up saying no admittance for under 18's. This made it impossible for us to partake in any "pub grub" or even to sit in a beer garden while accompanied by our 13 year old. And no this was not at some ridiculous time of night this applies at all times.

Yeah it's mad, I was over there visiting a friend a few weeks ago, she works in a bar that serves food right in the city centre so obviously a lot of tourists go through there, she said explaining to a couple with a 3 week old baby that they couldn't even come into the bar was pretty tough, it's an odd rule alright.
