I go to prague, touch down on the monday at 230pm and leave on thursday at 11am. My accommadation is paid for already and i'll be doing the usual tourist lark sight seeing within the city not intending to venture outside nor drink at night. How much money would you recommend taking?

€150-€200 should do ya - more than enough I think. 4days.... food, any entrance fees ....taxis... stuff like that.

I would say €200 will be more than enough. If you do not go to tourist trap restaurants, you can get away with far less. Public transport in Prague is very good as well and runs 24/7 - no need to pay for taxis.

As for taking money: I find the rates, fees and so on come out about the same whether I take cash and exchange it there or just take my debit card with me and use a local ATM. If you do take cash though, make sure to check a couple of money changing places before choosing one. The ones bang on in the center can have very bad rates, like 20% less than what you would get just around the corner. With ATMs, you never have that problem - they all give you the same rate.
