Its a piece of computer software for VAG cars that will scan the electrics and report faults

its a diagnostic cable that plugs into the car and reads faults from the ECU. a VW garage would charge you around 50 for one use but you can buy a cable off ebay for 20 quid and youll need a laptop with XP

absolutely essential when fixing VW and Audi electric faults

have a look at the brake pads ,have a look and see if the park bulb is gone,as for the airbag may need a diagnostic alright but you could wiggle the wiring loom under both seats and see if it goes off.

as i said youll need a laptop with XP. works on vista but its nothing but hassle with it.

go to an audi/VW forum with the results of a scan and your nearly guaranteed to know exactly what the problem is. potential to save you 100s. its has for me

every VW and Audi owner should have one

you might need a variation of this cable with the 06 but it shouldnt be much different. just google it and see

yeah think ill buy one, would be handy to have, the light is off when ur turn on the lights, but if just checked it now and the packing light is back working now.....!

if you dont have a laptop you can buy a handheld scanner for around 80. thatll give you the codes and a quick google or look in the manual will tell you what the fault means

    well worth the money

the real deal original cable will cost you around 400. but that ebay replica can do most of the work the real one does for 20
