Blood tests.

    My son has to have blood tests for HIV,TB and Hep B/C for his job,can the local doctor take these and how long does it take to get the results.

    Your best bet is to ring your local GP and ask. If he/she does not take the bloods in the surgery, they can easily be arranged at the local hospital (at no further cost). A TB test is not a blood test. It may involve a chest x-ray or a skin test.
    It takes about 2-3 weeks to get back results on viral blood tests. A chest x-ray report may take a similar length of time
