New to Modifying a car - air filter and iridium plugs

The car you have is likely to be the 91bhp 1.3 engine.

Plugs: Iridium plugs will make no difference to the performance, but they need changing less often. I'd stick with standard cheap plugs as you won't get the benefit of extra power.
The plugs are very accessible on the Terios, so you won't really save on potential future labour either.

Air filter: Again, increases, if any will be miniscule; the K&N has the advantage that it doesn't need replacement for the likely life of your car. that said, paper filters are dirt cheap.

    Cold Air Intake:
First type - induction kit. these won't do anything for you unless you add ducting, space is incredible tight behind the bumper, and I don't think you'll get a performance gain. It will make your car louder, and it may feel freer revving. I doubt this will result in any noticible power though.
Cold air Intake: A proper one of these (if they exist) may give you small increase in power, but you're talking serious money. not worth it. You need to inform your insurance company for both of these modifications.

Stabilisers etc The reason the Terios leans so much is down to the suspension setup. It will never handle like a car, even if you lower it by a huge amount. Maybe a different spring setup will help, but strut braces etc. are a waste of time without different lower springs. Which defeats the whole point (if there ever was one ;) ) to buying a Terios!

Accessories, bars etc Definitely work away. as long as the front bar has type approval (all Cobra ones have) then you're ok.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Colm,

OK, that's seems to be the message I am getting so far from two of my friends, except the one who is into classic cars swears by the "anti-roll" bars. Mind you that was for his old sports Daimler and not for a Jeep.

You're right I am not interested in lower the springs - that defeats the purpose of having a mini-SUV as I love the high driving seat position. May be a slightly different spring coil might help?

    Thanks for the advise!

    -Si.
