A thread for people to summarise 2009 and look forward to 2010 for both their county and club.

Cork Hurling: Bad year, but unsuprising considering the terrible preperation, the overly conservative management and the poor form of many central players.

Still, I have limited optimism for next year, as the 'success' of the Cork footballers, a years' proper preparation and the humilitations of this year should spur them on. We are also more likely to be overlooked and underated. We need however, a good league and considerable changes throughgout the squad and team, particurly throughout the spine of the team. We may get a scalp or two, particurly if we meet Tipp in Munster.

    Prediction: AI Semi through qualifiers.

Cork Football: Despite excellent preperation, considerable momentum and a solid team, still couldn't overcome a mediocre Kerry performance in Croker. Poor management choices didn't help, but really the lack of nerve and self-belief was clear to see throughout the second half yesterday.

Its likely to get worse next year. Some players may go to hurling, some may retire. Other then introduce Ciaran Sheehan and maybe Daniel O'Donovan, there isn't a whole lot that can be done to our squad while we almost had our best 15 out yesterday and yet it still wasn't enough to win an All-Ireland. I also see the likes of Tyrone or Kerry improving next year rather then getting worse.

Prediction: Munster champs, no further then another AI semi.

    Castlemartyr Football:

Beaten early on against Lisgoold in a game we dominated, no suprise as we are not a footballing club, but still we put in a better performance then usual this decade, so not such a terrible year. More of the same next year.

    Castlemartyr Hurling:

Won the East Cork for the first time in 34 years against Sarsfields, great acievement. Now in a county quarter against the winners of the city division (either Nemo or the Glen) we probably won't get very far particurly with the likes of Fermoy and Cloughduv also in the draw. Still great year and with a fairly young team as well. Will probably get beaten against the Glen, and struggle to get out of Imokilly next year.
