    Hi,

just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I a currently with a solicitor dealing with my case with regards to an injury. When I was in with her she stated that the only payment I needed to make was to a certain board, now i got a letter in the post today requesting a standing order to be set up for €150 a month. Can anyone shed some light on this???

First I have heard of it with a personal injury case. Check and see if you got a letter intended for some other client. It may happen that some other client agreed to pay €150 a month.

very strange. i have never heard of a solicitor requesting a standing order. Is it to pay for the legal fees?

    that's very strange.

Only way I could imagine this being so is if there have been significant fees paid out to medical consultants and the client has yet to lodge money in the solicitors office.

But, that is the only way I could see it arising. Otherwise it seems a little dodgy.

If you have any doubt, first ring the solicitor and also, it would do no harm to ring the Law Society and check the validity therein.

    I've never heard it before
