Picked up new sofa today in Harvey Norman, 3 seater couch(both ends recline) and two matching recliners for €999 reduced from €1899.Apparently they will be advertised in paper tomorrow but dont think they will last long as genuinely nice. Not real leather but nice all the same and a real steal at that price.

Probably worth less than 900 in the first place.

What makes you think that? It sounds a very good deal.

I know someone on the lookout and am going to tell them about this deal.

I ve rarely seen value in Harvey Norman. Reids furniture were advertising a less than half price sale in papers yeserday, Nice 3 seater leather suite for 500euro that was supposedly 1100 but they dont deliver it till xmas

Not real leather ? Pleather ? Not such a bargain then ?

Anyway, with all these guys who will deliver in 12 weeks+, always remember to put minimum deposit down, & always on credit card.

    For obvious reasons.

I have done the rounds recently looking for a 2 seater leather couch for the kids playroom - easy to clean and fairly robust. They have had my 2 seater Natuzzi for last 12 months and I wanted it back:)

Anyway, what I have found is that the furniture stores - Reids, Hardly Normal, Classic etc etc - are just advertising and selling teasers to get you in. I don't think any of these were ever at the price they say they were - except for the legal time out the back in a store (28 days I think).

The rest of the stuff is just as pricey as ever and the cheap stuff is just that - cheap. You gotta consider then that its 16 weeks to get the stuff and another €60 for delivery!

I ended up getting a basic 2 seater in Classic Blanch and I took it away there and then. Cost €510 and it seems like fairly real leather;) It has soft arms which I needed as the kids throw themselves all over it. Could get similar in Ikea for same price but arms were not as soft.

Anyway, thats my thoughts. Not many bargains about and some very false advertising! Every bloody day I get up there is another hardly normal ad on the radio for the sale!

Furniture Depot in Carrickmine have great offers at the moment. Last week got a 3 and a 1 really good leather all over for a grand (the opal range). Worth a look for anyone searching.
