Fitting roof tiles - can it be done in the wet?

OK, maybe I'm being paranoid! :)

The weather has been fantastic. The roof trusses and Velux windows are up.

But, illness and a delay in the delivery of the roof tiles - they had to come from the UK - has meant that it will be well into next week by the time the waterproof membrane and the roof tiles are fitted.

If the weather changes and the wooden beams are drenched, is it possible to fit the membrane and roof tiles?

    Thanks.

    D.

you should be fine in a normal situation there is plenty of ventilation to allow for everything to dry out both through the soffit and between the tile and the fascia board.

You said the trusses had to come from the UK,
are they built up trusses, laminate trusses, post trusses, single sections gang nailed, ???
If there's glues or made up timbers involved then the rains will not be good for them.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

No, the roof tiles came from the UK, not the trusses.
