Renting/hiring as a business model

I have an idea for a potential business model. Basically it would be hiring a relatively high value item (~€800) for a period of time to the customer. This has been implemented in other (foreign) markets but not in the markets I am targeting. However I am having trouble finding good reading material about hiring as a business model , the pitfalls, the pricing etc.. I have built a spreadsheet to get an idea of the cashflow / break-even times etc but I'm looking for any good info from others who have implemented something similar

    Any ideas?
