Carlow - Recommendations - IV Sedation

I'm in Carlow. I suffer from severe dentisophobia and claustrophobia. It's been almost 10 years since I've been inside a dental surgery and even writing this post has me on edge! I'm in dire need of dental treatment but can't even bring myself to ring a surgery. I have severe caries and gum disease. I could go for assessment (with p.o. diazepam) as long as I knew NO work would be done on the day and I could go for treatment if I knew in advance that I could have IV sedation but I believe many dentists don't/won't do it. I have had IV sedation a couple of times previously (not for dental work) and tolerated it well and reportedly behaved very well throughout. I have, as a nurse, been on the other side as well, while working in an endoscopy clinic, so I've seen the bad as well as the good.

Therefore, can anyone recommend a surgeon/surgery in Carlow (or close by) that will do IV sedation and who deals with (not patronisingly, preferably) with phobic patients. Kilkenny, Naas, Portlaoise etc. would be fine if there's no-one in Carlow.

    TIA
    CW

you could ask dr gilman on tullow street beside racey byrnes, staff are really helpful with years of experience, if they cant help you im sure they would put you onto someone who could, i would highly recommend them

Thanks pinkfloyd. I'll try them. Any other recommendations? Does anyone know of a practice that definitely offers IV sedation?
