Have a chance to get tickets in the front row (flat seating) for a forthcoming concert. My OH likes the band and not me but thought she might appreciate it but was wondering is this too close? I have not been to the new 02 arena so would welcome views from anyone who has been and in particular those who have been in flat seating at the front. thanks........

I was front row centre for Leonard Cohen and it was perfect. The artists are usually quite far back on the stage, and depending on the act, there's often a gap between the front row and the start of the stage, to accomodate cameras. If you're worried about getting a sore neck from looking up all night, you won't.
Just make sure the seats you get are in the centre section, preferably in the centre of that block. No point being in the front row if you're way over on the side, 'cos the angle will be far too acute to see anything.
