Try using codeblocks, Borland C++ is windows only I think, you could also bootcamp and run windows, or even run it in a virtual machine (Computer science students get login and free license to windows 7 pro shortly :)), check mydit mail from bryan duggan

u can also download xcode from apple and change few lines (the includes) and compile it with g++ from the terminal.
i personally use textmate with project so i can have multiple files open and simply with apple+R compiles is and shows you the errors/warning

    happy coding ;P

you don't even have to change any includes.

install xcode and just gcc is available in terminal.

xcode is a hefty install it weighs in at over 1.4 gigs as it has iphone SDK and iPhone emulator etc. so make sure you rape the college bandwidth for it unless you have a fat pipe into your house like me :pac:

i'd prefer to download it though especially if you have a decent connection.

that way you can insure you have the latest version

Which lecturers do you guys have? I did DT228 (then it was FT228) from 2000-2004. Let's see... ...I had the likes of Art Sloan, Susan McKeever, Paul Kelly, Fred Mtenzi, Ciaran O'Leary, etc. Sound familiar?

    alright lads.

what happens if you fail communications and personal development?

is there any sort of a repeat procedure?

Hmm, maybe. Fred does Operating Systems and System Security & Cryptography. Susan did Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Fred is dark-skinned and seems to wear the same jumper everyday of the year; Susan is red-haired and is arguably the skinniest person i've ever seen (apart from the anorexic I knew while in hospital).

What sort of subjects are you doing in 2nd year now? Web Dev.?; Data Structures & Algorithms?; C++?

    Kevin

object orientated programming(C++), HCI, maths for computers, ERM & SQL, software programming, microprocessors

I'm away from home with extremely ropey internet access at the minute, both due to this awesome new climate we're trying out.

Can somebody do me a huge favour and post the upcoming exam timetable?
