Haven't used that one but its looks good and the price is reasonable. Need to ensure that the courses that you play are mapped?
I have a SKYCADDY SG5 and use it often. More expensive though...

Just saw this on a link from Boards/Golf.....

Looks like good value (for this sort of thing;))... anyone have/use one??

    p.s. I like gadgets!!!

First check what the availability of courses are. Then you should check how these courses were mapped. Player mapped or (illegal) Google extraction offer poor quality data. The best method is either an on-site GPS survey or by using high quality aerial photography.

I'm in charge of mapping Irish courses for two such devices- The Caddy Lite and the Sureshot (80% of clubs done so far)- Guess which 2 methods we use to map...

    What comes in the box?
Is the Exec kit value? Looks like it!

The Caddy is the older of the two- It's larger. The Lite is more a "mobile phone" size plus it has a better battery. They both run exactly the same (same software onboard). The Exec is the Lite with a load of extra stuff thrown in plus a years membership. It does work out cheaper than if you buy all the bits separately. I'd probably go for the Lite myself as the Caddy is a little old now (the price drop is to clear our remaining stock of them).

Once your subscription is paid can you download as many courses as you like and store them on a laptop or PC to use whenever they are needed?

Depends on which sub you get. However the courses don't get stored on a PC- They are streamed directly to the device.

In the box: The device, a USB cable and instructions. You download the latest connectivity software from the website.

We have a "collect from our office" option in Shipping. The office is located in Ballymount Cross Industrial Estate (just off the M50)

Once you download the courses, are you free to use them for as long as you wish or do they only last for the duration of the annual subscription?

No- once you have them they are yours.
