    Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude D510 which is about four years old and has a cracked screen and the battery is fading.

My question is what do I do with it? can I upgrade it? trade it in? repair it or sell it for parts?

I Don't know a whole lot about laptops as you might have quessed but I do use and need one

    Thanks.

Screen could be replaced fairly easily, question is how much money do you want to throw at a 4 year old laptop? eBay or the likes will be your best bet for replacement parts.
I would use it as a desktop machine myself if you dont want to spend money repairing it. Hook an LCD monitor (or CRT) up to it and even a usb keyboard/mouse combo and there you go. Could use it as a bit torrent machine or file server even...plenty of uses!
