Quick question on fees.. I'm in trouble

Me in a nutshell... left college just about 3 years ago after failing a year. Going back this year (thought I was), but can't get the fees up (3k). my parents assured me they would have it, but they couldn't get it from the bank or credit union. I have nothing and couldn't get a loan either but do have a part time job. Fees have to be paid by next friday.

I feel that there is no way to do this and I'll have to wait a year.

how could I get the money for fees this year? (I am repeating 5 modules). Is there any way that you can think of that I could get this money? Loan sharks? Any type of grant?? My grant people said I am not entitled to anything this year, but if I pass this year (guaranteed), I'd be getting a grant to cover my final year.

I'm seriously on my very last option now, having tried everything. My friends are strapped for cash and I couldn't ask them as it isn't fair on them.

Apart from robbing a bank :D, I have no options right?

Kind of annoying since I have been studying all summer and my parents assured me they would get me the money at that time so I was all set for coming back this year. Sets me back a year too because I am doing Graduate Entry medicine after I finish my course (2 years of this left).

I just want to know if there is ANY option here that I can't see?

Sorry to hear about your situation. All I can recommend is that you talk to your fees/treasurers office in college, and ask if it would be possible to defer the payment due to severe financial hardship. I can't speak for all colleges, but I know Trinity has something in place for exactly this situation.

it s a terrible situation to be in. i got a place in college this year and because i have a degree already ( i got it over 15years ago fresh out school not knowing what i wanted to do and it s totally un related to what i want to do know) i was told i didn t qualify for free fee / grant / btea nothing even though i am currently on social. i spent days on phone internet citizens advice etc all say same . . . not entitled , i found no other options found college fees office weren t that bothered or helpful same with social welfare office and dept of education. fees are 7500 for just this year absolutely no financial help anywhere. all these funds and trusts i.e. millenium trust and other funds all only help you if you qualify for the grant so it seems the more your entitled to the more you get!!!
best of luck stick with it
