    Yup! Well hardly ever done...

I turned down a recording gig. Just couldn't face it. Although I'll miss the money I've decided I just can't take being obliged to record every bozo that knocks on the door anymore. And pat him on the ass telling him he's great. You know the gig? The one that just turns into a nightmare and never ends...

    It has to stop!

What they wanted was just too much for what they were willing to pay. So to bring the gig up to a standard that will have the studios and my name on it I end up working for €2 an hour or something.

Basically too much work for too little money. Although I won't be working now at least I can do something more constructive. Like rant at you fuuckers up on here! :D

    Good for you.
    I do this often.
Singer/songwriters, rappers who want to rap over "beatz" that I would have to program for them, C&W, Karaoke backing track singers and schoolkids who can't play.

My biggest one was last year.
I know the guy who runs blastbeat. He used to manage the revs when I did their album. The gig was 20 transition year school bands at 300 per band.
I thought long and hard about it but decided I would need more than 6 grand's worth of therapy after it. I ended up getting a film mix in around the same time so no loss. Karma is my friend:D

In saying this I would probably take the gig this year. Fuppin' recession!
