    Ok This is my problem..

I got a Asus eee pc 900 Linux version back in January and really wanted Itunes on it. So I got someone to put Windows xp there afew weeks ago. Now the sound isnt working, Mic, Webcam & right clicker button!

& this lad is taking ages getting back to me!? I aint happy with the windows set up on it & was wondering if I just download Linux will everything go back to the original settings??

    Please help?

If you find out the specific brands/model numbers of each driver, you should have no problem finding windows drivers for them online.

Also to roll back to factory settings you will need a recovery or OS disk that came with the laptop. This will contain an image of the operating system as it was out of the box, including all relevant drivers

The original linux that comes with the eee is shockingly bad. Try easypeasy, Ubuntu Netbook Remix or cruncheee. The first 2 will be more newb friendly as they've a simple user interface. You can install them with a USB stick using unetbootin. It may seem daunting but just ask and we can help you out.

Laptops nowadays are sold without the drivers source CD. You should go back to the place where you bought your laptop and ask them for the CD or refer to the manufacturer's website for the right drivers.

The eee comes with a CD loaded with the linux distribution that has all the required drivers etc.... the eee just doesn't come with a CD/DVD drive :D

I see your point but on the flip side they probably would have never bothered to look in to it if it wasn't for the netbooks either.
