I'm trying to find out what kind of interface I could use with my Laptop pc to maxmise the amount of channels I could record in, in one go.

    I.e. 16 - 24 channels in
I'm not to worried about having loads of outputs as I feel I'll only need 2 out for monitors.

Would love to here peoples suggestions, as I'm only in the early stages of researching this.

RME fireface or M-audio 2626 will both give you 8 analogue, 16 adat and 2 spdif. M-audio profire lightbridge will give you 32 adat and 2 spdif.
I am running an RME Digiface and have 26 inputs at 64 buffer in Logic on a mac pro.

Either USB or Firewire will do the job at that end of things.....

16 tracks at once isnt that hard for most systems....
