    I really wasnt sure what forum to post this in...

    Anyone reckon this is good value?

    Not for shooting, just for messing about... I do have land around me with a lot of wild life. Wouldnt mind seeing what messing they do when the lights go out.

    For the price of it you really can't go wrong if your just scoping local fields. I have one but it's not the Aldi version and it is good for about 60yds when you switch on the IR beam. Mine cost me a few bob more and I got it from the States.

    yeah that one is actually pretty good, i used it on an exercise before and had good visibilty perfect for scoping out fields, you just need to be in pure darkness, as even the sky light throws it off a little.

    You'd be better off buying either a Yukon Exelon or a Yukon Digital Ranger. The first is a tubed night vision monocular which can be damaged by light. The second uses digital technology and can't be damaged at night.
