Hi, i'm thinking of possibly getting involved in air rifle target shooting but I've no idea where to start/what beginners rifle to buy, and what permits I might need. Can anybody shed any light please.

I'd recommend not spending any money. Find a local club (if you haven't already done so) and arrange to go along to have a look round and try a few shots.

Most clubs will have equipment you can borrow to get you started.

You will also get to know which sort of equipment/rifle etc works for you, without the expense of making a hasty purchase that isn't right.

The advice and experiences of other club members will also be a good help deciding what to buy when the time comes.
