I can't work my TCD email!?!

Ok, so i got my username and password from registration. im sitting here at my computer on the myzone site. im trying to "set myzone password" but its not working. each time i fill it in it clears and i have to do it again and it clears AGAIN. what do i do?
could someone like give me the rundown on how to set up my email??? please?!?

ps. i was in trinity last year for a couple months but then transferred to another subject that im starting on monday. ive noticed that its the same username. its also the same password i had from the start of last year but i had it changed because of technical complications... do i just need to remember my other old password?
i still would like the guidelines of how to start up my email anyway, please?:D

I know I had problems last year when trying to organise my password using firefox. Try internet explorer.

It's probably more complicated tthan that though.:o

I just set mine up on Firefox so it is working.

Make sure you're clicking the right button after youve entered your new password because there is a "clear" button there as well as a "set new password" one.

Also, make sure you stick to the password regulations outlined above where you enter your new password.

If none of that helps then I'd send an email to the admin.

Gmail is having problems of their own, so they may be related.

I would imagine you generated a new password last year, and it's expecting you to use that, so you should try going to the "forgot your password?" bit at the bottom of the page and make a new one altogether.

Had the same problem. You need to set the password from within the network i.e. on a library computer. After that you can access it from anywhere.

that happened to me a fair few times.. eventually it just sort of worked

Really you HAVE to set your net login from within trinity.. damn i wish they told you that before friday, did i miss something?

You can do it from anywhere, I did it from home there yesterday

just wander into isservices's offices on monday with your student card and they'll give you the slip of paper again...


As for the other things, if you changed courses last year, but retained the same username starting a new one this year. In all likelyhood nothing happened your myzone account, so if you changed the password last year you'll have to remember it, or get it reset. (you get the same slip of paper every year with your inital password regardless of what its currently set to[so i get one i haven't used in 8 years! ])


Its fine to miss a library tour, though you'll probably just have a bit more hassle figuring out how to do stuff in there, can always ask the staff anyway.
