Trek Bikes - Dublin

    Hello!

    I'm buying myself a nice shiny new road bike for winter training but money's tight. It's going to be a Trek because I've always cycled Treks and I do like them a lot. It'll probably be in the 1 Series because that's all I can afford right now but which particular one will depend on where I can get the best deal. Can anyone recommend where does the best prices on Treks in Dublin? It has to be in Dublin because I don't have a car so I'd need to get a bus there and cycle my lovely new bike home. This also means that it has to be already built too. I've been looking around myself but I was hoping someone would know somewhere off hand.

    Thanks!
    C :)

    Joe Daly's in Dundrum sells Trek, I got one off them in 2006, not sure how competitive they are though.

    Best bet would be to check the wiki for the list of shops in Dublin and start ringing around, the price you can haggle to is the important part! So ringing them and asking what the best they can do is the way to go. That will depend on what they have in stock etc.

    As for where stocks them, i would say close on half the bike shops in Dublin. Off the top of my head;
    Joe Daly's
    Cyclogical
    2 Wheels
    Place on Camden street beside the Cornerstone pub.
    Hollingsworth
    Think Bike
    etc.

    This can be a good time of year to get deals on older stock - I got a Trek 1500 last year in Staggs Cycles out in Lucan for about €1200.

    Price was 1000 at the time.
