Is anyone here planning to take part in this 10 hill challenge. The cost seems a little excessive i.e €25. Do you reckon you could just fall in at the back of the group without having to pay for the one day licence fee etc. The recession and all:D

    Here.

    I would do it, but I have a cast-iron Voodoo-like excuse.

Its 10euro for CI and IVCA members. Membership is nessecary for insurance purposes.
I don't think 10euro is excessive BTW (am biased as am a Swords cc member)

I always give my excuses, please share.

Any chance there is a profile of this on MMR or bikeroutetoaster? I don't know any of these hills.

So its €15 for people without insurance. I plan on joining the club for the 2010year in Janurary. I don't suppose that would entitle me to waiver the extra fee;)

Here's a link to the route on Garmin.com. If you use the "Player" function, you can plot the route..might make it less confusing :)

Dirk as Rob said they arent Wicklow but after 7 or 10 of them you will fell it in your legs. Some are nasty drags and some are simply viscious short but in the 20% region. there are some roads that have weird sort of gravity/polarity.They maybe flat or slightky uphill or even 1 section (the approach to Barnageera from Skerries coast road) thats even downhill but it doesnt feel like that..
I am thinking of dropping down from 39 to a 36 or 37. Can I do this on a standard?
