New/returning US shows - September 24th...

We already have a few threads with the return/premiere dates of various shows but just a quick heads up that a whole bunch of them started up on US TV last night and are now available... Not really a discussion thread though so if you want to go into details about a specific show, please no spoilers in here and perhaps start a new thread dedicated to that show (if one does not already exist)?

Anyway, here's what started just yesterday (so today for us :)):

    - Modern Family
    - Cougar Town
    - Eastwick
    - Mercy
    - The New Adventures of Old Christine (Season 5)
    - Gary Unmarried (Season 2)
    - Criminal Minds (Season 5)
    - CSI: NY (Season 6)
    - Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (Season 11)

And even though it's not supposed to premiere until tonight in the US, thanks to Canada, the 2nd season premiere of "The Mentalist" is also out.

So something for everyone really (except Sci-Fi buffs - but tomorrow will fix that :D)...

I want Modern Family to be good - I'm looking out for a new comedy. So far, Community and Bored to Death have, for me, missed the mark.

According to metacritic .. the first reviews are good. Mercy, less so.

The missus watched The Good Wife last night and enjoyed it.

Although i could download, does anyone know when Irish TV is going to show the new seasons? Criminal minds and CSI NY in particular.

Exactly what I was going to post! lol I e-mailed RTÉ last night because, as usual, I was getting nowhere with finding the answer anywhere online. I'm hoping for a reply on maybe Tuesday or Wednesday (they have previously replied to me, yay!) so I should hopefully have an answer for you around then.

(I really can't wait for these to both come back, avoiding spoilers online has been a killer)

I watched the pilot and thought it had promise. Another court room type drama but the characters were engaging enough to maintain interest. I'll be giving it another few episodes.

    RTÉ replied today.
The good news: CSI, CSI NY, Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives are all coming back for new series'.
The bad news: Apparently the air dates are "Sensitive Information." They won't be made public until two weeks before they air.
