Where to get financial statements?

I'm reading security analysis at the moment and I'd love to have some modern day financial statements in front of me to pick through as I go along. Ideally I'd like some from a simple company without a ton of complicated items on the various statements. Any ideas of a company which would be suitable? An Irish company would be preferable but I guess it doesn't really matter.

Also I've no idea where to get financial statements. Anybody point me in the right direction?

    Thanks.

go to the investor relations part of any company website and you can see any published f/s.

doesn't really matter what type of company you pick but best avoid co's like banks cos they are more complicated at first - choose a more normal industrial company that you understand the business and take it from there

Sweet thanks I just downloaded Glanbia and C&C's annual reports. Should do the trick for the moment.

All companies listed on the Irish Stock Exchange are required to file accounts, major announcements and interim reports with the ISE. You can search through a history of filings here - http://www.ise.ie/app/announcementList.asp

The same information for stocks listed on the US exchanges is filed with the SEC. That site is here - http://www.sec.gov/edgar.shtml (Top tip, I use their brilliant RSS service to get announcements sent directly to my RSS Reader).

I would avoid the SEC website if you are only starting out. It's true that it is very helpful and there is a ton on there but unless you know what you are looking for it canbe difficult to navigate.

I would recommend starting with a company that does something simple that is easy to understand and which reports clearly and quarterly (mot UK companies report semi-annually).

One I would recommend starting with is Virgin Media in the UK. They are a cable company and provide TV, broadband and telephone services. They should be easy to understand as a company and therefore you can concentrate on making sense of the financial statements. Also, their notes attached to the financials are very clear. There are also presentations linked to the financials that graphically display some of the most important results. The link is here

As mentioned before you can find the statements on any public company's websites. Just got to Investor Relations (IR)

If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.
