For those near Dunboyne, I can thoroughly recommend the new Il Meletto Italian restaurant on the main street. (don't know exactly as haven't been to the new location)

It used to be located in Ballylinan Co. Laois, but had to move as the pub the restaurant was attached to was sold.

Basically, two mad foodie italians whose families are in restaurant business in Italy & friends own a vinyard, open a restaurant in Ireland in a recession! - And certainly in Ballylinan they were busy.

Well priced - about €60 for meal for 2 + litre of house wine (bloody good house wine too!)

- No connection to them except as a customer.
