    Hi,

I drive a 98 VW Polo and anytime i try to connect a charger into my cigarette lighter socket,(eg Garmin charger) they wont fit.......only by maybe 1mm or 2......but the chargers work perfect in all other cars......any ideas?
Does this particular model have a smallers cigerette socket?

Also, when i was driving home last night i had particular trouble in accelerating and the car sometimes shuddered and had lower revs than usual......when i got home the engine seemed a little warm and listening to it i cud hear a dripping sound and a kind of steam sound from under the bonnet....yet nothing was leaking from the car........any ideas on this? wud my radiator cause this perhaps?

    HELP PLEASE!!!!

Check your water, oil and battery - carefully.

I had the same issue with some car charger devices. I got a 3 plug adapter. Fits perfectly, then I just plug the other bits into the adapter!

DON'T PUT TAP WATER INTO THE BATTERY!!!!!!!!

If you are topping up the battery, use de-ionised water or distilled water. ORdinary tap water has salts present and then react with the plates in the presence of the acid, reducing the battery performance
