Anyone try it out yet? Verdict?
I use Logic 8 but I like the look of this. Gives me a few more options.
Does anyone know if I can synch it up(using rewire maybe) with Logic so I can use my Native Instruments software?

    Zak.

Rewire would be fine - that's a norm with reason etc... the only flaw i found was that the POD was really noisy - (this may have been fixed, but on high gain models it really sucked) - so i would recommend getting demo version and checking all of it fully.

I really like it. I've been using Cubase for about 2 years and although I can geat a great sound from it I find it destroys my workflow. I have been using Reason for everything except live instruments and as a result Record has upped my productivity no end. To me ears it;s also a really nice sounding system and I find it very easy to get a good sound very quickly. I haven;t tried to get GREAT sound yet but I am confident I will. For me it;s what I;ve been waiting for.

That said, I'm an amateur and as a musician first, engineer 10th, I'm pretty much their target audience. To me the big virtual desk is logical and easy to use. The rack can get a bit OTT but I am finding that easier to use. I do miss some of the functionality of Cubase but I am finding the limitations of Record are actually making me work harder on the source material.

Overall, for an experienced musician but amateur producer, and Reason fanboy, like me its a Godsend.

i'm the same...i used to use cubase, then i switched to logic 8 last year...i use logic in it's most basic form as i'm not an engineer by any means...
i decided i like the look of Record and it seems easy to use...i have reason 4 although my friend downloaded his copy onto my computer,so i will have to buy reason myself to get it to integrate with Record....
i'll still use Logic 8 (for my soft synths) and i plan on using it together with Reason and Record via rewire...

That's going to be quite a lot of apps running there - a lot of workspace to climb around.

I never realized until recently that Ableton does audio recording 'on the fly' - just like record, and does what all the other DAWs do pretty much.

I'd go and check it out also - ignore all the outside views of it and have a good look through all the videos on their site and you tube - it's a very creative tool - BUT i'm unsure if you were running something like NIs guitar rig in it that it would be any good - again something you'd have to demo with it.

Ableton looks totally alien and weird initially - so hit the videos before getting frustrated by expecting to find things in their usual spaces :)
