Watched Blackball for the first time a couple of weeks ago on More 4 & I was struck how Dodgeball had virtually the same basic story line as Blackball, Vince Vaughn is even in both films...

My question is do you think Dodgeball was a direct rip off which catered for the American Market?

By the way Paul Kaye was excellent in Blackball!

    Blackball (2003)
aka "National Lampoon's Blackball" - USA (video title)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0337879/

i know this was partly based on real events, ie young upstart bowler's tussle with old schooler

but i don't how some movies get made??

it written by the smae guy who did calender girls, but really not amusing enough to worth anybodies while

Don't they both follow the "underdog" story line that is in thousands of other films?
