Never used outlook myself. My only contact with it is when I click an email address by accident in IE and it opens and I start swearing like crazy.

    Sorry :(

I'd recommend that you forward the mails out of your webmail to the email you ordinarily check and then make a message filter to a new folder called university.

To set up the forwarder log into your webmail:
    Click the options tab
    Then click settings
You will then see Mail Forwarding towards the bottom of the page
Tick enable forwarding, I have do not leave a copy on the server, but it really doesn't matter whether that is left unticked,
Add the email you want to send it to on the forwarding list.
    Then click save.

There are more guides about filtering in Outlook about but that's a start to forwarding.

Edit: I'll be nice, I think Windows Mail is quite similar to Outlook so -
    Click Tools then Accounts.
    Add a new account
Set what name you want it to be under
In the next slot type in your NUIM email address
For the POP3 and SMTP servers enter the same information as on your original account.
For your username and password, enter the same information as on your original account.
Click do not download my email at this time.
When the account is finished, click on it and click properties.
Untick the box "Include this account when receiving mail or synchronising.

This will allow you to send emails from your NUIM email.

For the filtering the instructions are as follows:
Right click on your inbox, create a new subfolder called "University" or whatever you want it to be called.
Click Tools, Message Rules, and Mail
    Click New.
    On Conditions
Click Where the to line contains people
Then click the link "contains people"
    Type nuim.ie and press add
    Then press OK
    On Actions
Click Move to the specified folder
Click on the link of "specified folder" and click the folder you created earlier.

That's it! It should automatically forward your email to the correct folder now.

this is how mine is set up and works fine, took a lot of different combinations to figure out!
(its not with outlook but the settings should be the same, its actually windows live mail and the way described above wouldn't work for me!)

The settings in the picture work for the iphone (add it as an "other account")

Just go to iPhone settings - network - wifi and connect. Then go to any website and you'll be brought to the login page. Enter your student number and password and voilà!

Okay I've been trying to connect my phone to the wifi network at nuim at it's not working it seems that I'm the only one having this problem. I'm considering dumping my phone for another one because of this.

It finds the nuim wireless wifi but when it go on safari tue web page just closes for an unknown reason.

It doesn't even ask for my nuim account number or password.

Infact the nuim mail doesn't work on my iPhone.

Is there something blocking it or what?

Do you need a password to connect to the college wifi?
I have an iPhone too and have not tried yet

For me, when I choose NUIMwireless or whatever it is, and go into safari, the pages refuse to load no matter how long I wait.

I was in business class today and I saw a girl using the internet on her iPod I was furious. I considered throwing my iPhone away at that moment.
    Is your iPhone jailbroken.

    It might be the cause.

Its open, but you'll be redirected to a portal page where you'll be asked for your student number and password.

It seems that my iPhone needs to be fixed it's missing a plugin setting in the safari settings.

And BTW if I'm right page 37 is just a picture there nothing there about how to connect to the NUIM wifi.

    If I'm wrong..... I am
