    Hey folks

Taking my Rigid test on Friday. I have had 3 2hr lesson and will have a 4th on Thursday. Come Friday I will have an hour before the test to practice and then the test itself.

Not so sure if I have done enough practice but instructor reckons I am in good shape, lets hope so.

Any advice for me would be much appreciated.

Best of luck just make sure you give yourself plenty of room for cars parked on the road and dont cross any stop signs or lines thats an immeadiate fail

If the examiner tells you to take the next "available" right/left, be on the look-out for 3 tonne restricted access roads!

I did it in Finglas a good few years ago. I don't remember much but the hillstart was on that steep incline on the Old Finglas Road - often incorrectly referred to as Violet Hill.

Thanks for that, the thought had never crossed my mind ha. I wouldnt have thought they would be that sly about it on your test but I guess its road awareness eh, Im not from Finglas area so would have probably fallen into that trap.

    Cheers

In fairness, they don't do it in a sly way but place extra emphasis on that particular instruction so you shouldn't be caught out.

ok well thought I did a great test knew I messed up once or twice but was never out of position or in danger etc. went in and he hit me with a fail. One grade 3 mark for right of way on a rounabout. Im shocked I didnt once pull out or cut across anyone, speed was controlled and turns where crisp and tight. Not happy with dangerous driving been thrown at me but its done now cant change it

    sick

dont mind failing and knowing were I messed up and going away knowing I didnt deserve to pass but I still feel full sure I passed. I even asked the guy could he tell me which roundabout and he said he couldnt recall, thats what is upsetting me I guess
