Be able to understand the stress strain graph and its relationship to the Load/Extension Graph.
Tensile Testing - Draw graph - Stress v Strainl
    ProofStress & Young's Modulus
    The Izod & Charpy Tests
Be Able to sketch & explain the stages, & Explain the difference between the 2. (Izod test piece held vertical like an "I")

    Non Destructive Testing
    NDT - name test/material (ferrous/non ferrous )/type of flaws (surface, internal )/principle of operation/diagram
    Ultrasonic/Radiographic/Magnetic Dye Penetrant
    Brinnell & Vickers TESTS(test for what?,describe operation)
    Fatigue Failure/Creep
Be Able to sketch & explain the stages of all the above tests.

    Day 3
    Q5
    Read Welding Pages 357 >388
