Do you use tree stands in Ireland? Any particular use or advantage?

I have found that deer do not look for hunters in trees. Rather, they scan the field.

The deer wont see or smell you when you are elevated.

They will not smell you? Unlike line of sight, scent goes with the wind. I have always used scent blockers in tree stands.
