Is anyone kind enough to help me configure my Eircom router to port forward, go through the whole process and use the correct IP (dreambox).

I then check my port to see its opened with port-checker & it aint opened.

Is this a common problem with this router or is Eircom blocking outgoing ports

Incidentally, my firewall within the router is set to low.

I had lots of trouble configuring my Eircom router too until I came across the instructions in this post :http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=58150357&postcount=498 . I had to forward both the UDP and TCP ports for it to work though. To do that you finish all the steps in those instructions and start over at the third step of the instructions (ie.Third Step - Set up Custom Services (Port Forwarding)).Do the steps in that section over again and at part 7 select UDP instead of TCP.Use the same ports as you do with TCP. I hope that makes sense. :)

There's lots of information in this thread where is where your post should be :http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055334444
