    will i miss much if i take tomorrow off as i really want to go to the ploughing match for the day. i would be missing german, irish and economics. its first year

    Have you went to any of the above classes? Has the course started so to speak?

    If there's still introductory classes or they're starting off etc. I doubt you'll miss a huge load.

    Just find out what happened and get the notes. :P

    You'll miss nothing. They're only hello lectures and give a brief outline of the course. Go to your ploughing. Get your wellies mucky.
