dimmer switch can it be used

    we bought a derwent 5 arm ceiling light..its very bright so we were going to use dimmer switch..read some where you have to be careful with wattage voltage etc..it takes 5 40 watt round bulbs..we just bought a regular dimmer switch in homebase..cheers

    Yeah the switch should be fine, the light you have is 200watt, the lowest dimmer switch ive seen is a 250watt
