How much are the tickets? Are they sold out yet? Is Lisa headlining or are those wiggers that are headlining?

I pray that Freshers Week is not an indication of what is ahead of us with regards Ents. Jesus christ.

Nah, the place looked as though it was sold out, what other reason would there be?

I had my doubts but it was definitely it for a tenner. Great value. Place was packed. Loved the Britain's got Talent act but by the time Lisa Lashes got on stage she was only a blur to me....

To be honest I thought the ents all this week have left plenty to be desired. But then, if I had my way with the bookings, everyone esle would be outside the building holding their ears in pain....oh well.....but surely there is a middle ground!!!!

    Solution:

ITT, a smaller institution that ourselves, got Felix Da Housecat to play their freshers ball. He also did UCD, as did Boys Noize. Maynooth Ents would do better to copy the ITT strategy of quality over quantity, promote cheap booze nights/local acts nights but keep t he money for the odd top class acts and dont waste it on sh/te like Blazin Squad. Just nab the odd big act who'se playing the bigger Unis. Easy.

More Blizzards, Fred, Messiah J etc. too.

Well that makes sense to me. No use having loads of acts if they're all rubbish, it just amounts to wasting people's time after a while.

Most people arent interested in local acts unfortunately. They'd rather go to roost, bradys, mantra for the same ****e week in, week out.

Can never understand this sort of mentality. I find it hard to settle for subpar acts if I'm actually wanting to hear music. Maybe I'm just an obsessive about it, I don't know, but seriously. I think people's tastes these days, on the whole, are just sh***te anyway. Not everyone, but the majority- enough that it matters, unfortunately.....but then maybe it's always been like that and I've realised it.....

'Thursday Night Britney-Tunes and Fosters Down The Roost' will never die.

Mantra's upstairs music is mostly the usual generic pop ****e although they did play some Prodigy on monday night. However, the music downstairs is fairly fckn brilliant. They had a 70s/80s music night on thursday night. Proper tunes. Pity everyone was upstairs though and I was down there on my own!
