AFAIK there used to be a SQL Query Analyzer Tool in the installation options for SQL server 2000 that you could use to just install that tool on client PCs used by DBAs etc.

For some reason i cant see this in SQL Server 2005 32bit Standard...is it only in the enterprise version or something?

I'm 99% sure it will be in the std ed. Have you installed SQL2005 yet? Is there a sql2005 management studio? You can run queries in there.

Ah okay, yeah I selected all the options on install but thought the query analyzer was as seperate app to the studio. Cheers!
